THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for a Digital Account Director with a focus on your strong social credentials. You’ll take the lead on delivering best-in-class paid social campaigns while coaching a growing team and setting the standard for Social excellence across multiple clients.
This role sits at the heart of one of our Client Planning teams and focuses on Paid Social first and foremost, with additional oversight across Display and Online Video where relevant. You’ll be the go-to digital expert for some of our biggest commercial and charity clients, from financial services to retail, and you’ll play a central role in shaping how we approach digital performance and innovation.
You’ll need hands-on experience delivering high-performing social campaigns and the strategic insight to connect media to meaningful outcomes. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, know what good digital looks like, and love helping teams and clients get there, this is your role.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Owning the paid social and display media output across your key clients, ensuring every campaign is planned, activated and optimised to the highest standard.
- Supporting wider teams with strategic consultation on major briefs, helping shape the digital response across all touchpoints.
- Overseeing the day-to-day across social. Supporting on long-term forecasting and campaign planning to ensuring the team is in place to deliver ongoing management, performance reviews and client engagement.
- Coaching and mentoring Digital Managers and Executives so they grow in confidence and deliver consistently high-quality work.
- Setting up smart, scalable ways of working — owning training, defining processes, and embedding best practice across social and display activation.
- Bringing a data-first mindset, learning how to apply Medialab’s approach to insight, measurement and reporting across every stage of delivery.
- Creating smart and detailed media plans, forecasts and performance projections rooted in platform insight and client goals.
- Presenting bold, well-informed strategic recommendations that push thinking and unlock growth for your clients.
- Coordinating campaign setup and monitoring — from budget pacing and optimisation through to test strategies and reporting accuracy.
- Leading the setup and troubleshooting of tracking pixels and conversion tags, making sure every campaign is measurable from day one.
- Working closely with our senior digital leadership to support training, innovation, partnerships, and the continuous improvement of our digital product.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- A strong track record of delivering high-quality Paid Social campaigns — with real expertise in social planning and platform best practice.
- Hands-on experience activating and optimising campaigns in platforms like Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, DV360, and the Google stack.
- Sharp analysis skills and the ability to turn digital performance into actionable insights that drive media decisions.
- Solid working knowledge of key tools such as Google Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, and platform Business Managers.
- Clear and confident communication skills — able to lead clients through complex topics and influence internal teams with ease.
- Budget management expertise — comfortable juggling large multi-channel budgets and multiple client workstreams.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities while keeping quality high and deadlines tight.
- A collaborative, inclusive leadership style — someone who sets the tone, brings others with them, and wants to build a great team culture.
